Radio Swiss Classic is the classical music channel of SRG SSR, Switzerland's public broadcaster, and part of the Radio Swiss family — with Swiss Pop and Swiss Jazz — that started in 1998 as Swiss Satellite Radio. Its repertoire spans the full concert tradition: Baroque and Classical masterworks, Romantic symphonies, chamber music and selected contemporary compositions, performed by renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists, including Swiss ensembles. The channel carries almost no spoken content beyond brief announcements and is free of advertising. It reaches listeners across Switzerland via DAB+, cable and satellite, and classical music lovers worldwide through its online stream, day and night.
