RNZ National is the flagship network of Radio New Zealand, the country's public broadcaster, and a cornerstone of civic life in Aotearoa. Broadcasting nationwide on FM and AM without advertising, it carries in-depth news, current affairs, arts and culture, including some programming in te reo Māori. Weekday staples include Morning Report and Nine to Noon, while Kim Hill's Saturday Morning is a long-running weekend institution. The network is known for giving airtime to ideas, books, science and music that commercial radio rarely touches.
