Radio Mystery Theater USA keeps one of radio drama's great revivals on the air around the clock: the CBS Radio Mystery Theater. Created by legendary producer Himan Brown, the anthology series ran on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, producing 1,399 original episodes of mystery, horror and suspense at a time when network radio drama had been declared dead. Each episode opens with the creak of a crypt door and host E. G. Marshall's invitation — "Come in!… Welcome" — into what he called "the fear you can hear," with Tammy Grimes hosting the final season. This stream replays those classic broadcasts back to back, theater of the mind exactly as it first aired.
