Radio Kabul — today Radio Afghanistan — is the state broadcaster of Afghanistan, run by Radio Television Afghanistan on 1107 kHz AM and 105.2 MHz FM in the capital. Its origins reach back to the first transmitters installed in Kabul in the 1920s, with a stronger 20 kW transmitter in 1940 generally counted as the station's official birth, and it has broadcast in Pashto, Dari, Urdu, English and French across its long history.
