QBS Radio is the English service of Qatar's state broadcaster, heard across Doha on 97.5 FM. The service first went on air at the end of 1971 with just a single hour a day, and has since grown under the Qatar Media Corporation into a full schedule of Top 40 music, talk and magazine programmes such as «In Focus» for the country's English-speaking community.
