Owned by the government-run Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, Q100.7 FM took to the air on Monday 3 May 2004 under its original name, Quality FM. From the CBC studios at The Pine, St. Michael, it mixes talk programming with music from the 1950s through the 1970s outside its speech hours. Barbadians also rely on it for very local fixtures of daily life, from parliamentary broadcasts to the daily obituary announcements.
