Power FM is the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation's round-the-clock urban music station, broadcasting nationwide on FM with 99.3 MHz serving Harare. Set up soon after independence in 1980 to cater for the country's urban youth, it began life as Radio 3, later 3FM, before taking the Power FM name in 2004. Its playlist leans on contemporary hits and youth culture, making it the ZBC network's home for younger listeners.
