Newstalk ZB Christchurch serves Canterbury with NZME's talkback format: breaking news, strong opinions and open-line calls, with local programmes woven through the network schedule. Christchurch listeners have leaned on ZB through earthquakes, rebuild debates and countless local controversies, and the station's Canterbury-focused hours give residents a direct line to decision-makers. The rest of the day carries the national ZB line-up, from the Mike Hosking Breakfast to evening sport, backed by one of New Zealand's largest radio newsrooms.
