This AAC stream carries Newstalk, Ireland's national talk radio station, in high-quality digital audio. Newstalk launched in April 2002 and broadcasts across the country on 106–108 FM from its Dublin studios, having grown from a Dublin-only service into a full national network. Owned by Bauer Media Audio Ireland, it is built around speech: news, current affairs, business, sport and debate, with flagship programmes including The Pat Kenny Show, Lunchtime Live and the award-winning sports show Off The Ball. The station positions itself as the home of conversation in Ireland, encouraging listeners to text, call and join the discussion throughout the day.
