Near FM, short for North East Access Radio, is the community station for Dublin's north-east, broadcasting on 90.3 FM from the Northside Civic Centre in Coolock. Run by the not-for-profit Near Media Co-op, it first went on air in August 1995 as Near FM 101.6, moving to 90.3 in 2007, and traces its roots to the 1980s pirate North Dublin Community Radio. A founding member of CRAOL, it airs specialist music, talk and community programming made by local volunteers for areas from Raheny to Ballymun.
