Mushroom FM is an internet radio station launched on 25 April 2010, famous as the home of the “fun guys” — a global team of volunteer presenters, many of them blind broadcasters, led from New Zealand by founder Jonathan Mosen. After a hiatus it relaunched stronger, settling on its defining format of four decades of music, from the 1950s through the 1980s. Commercial-free and deeply personality-driven, it goes well beyond standard oldies playlists with full album cuts, themed shows and a loyal worldwide audience known as the Mushroom Crowd.
