Metro FM 97.7 is the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria's entertainment service for Lagos, broadcasting from Ikoyi. It traces its roots to 22 April 1977, when it began as Radio Nigeria 2 — the first FM station in Nigeria — before settling on 97.7 in September 2011. Rebranded for listeners aged roughly 18 to 35, it mixes adult contemporary music with chat and city entertainment.
