On 97.7 FM, Metro is the FRCN's music-led Lagos service, aimed at a youthful 18–35 audience. The station began life in 1977 as RN2, Nigeria's first-ever FM service, and adopted its current frequency in 2011 after decades on 97.6. From its Ikoyi base it leans into adult contemporary music and entertainment features.
