LCRfm 102.9 is the community voice of Loughrea in east Galway, broadcasting under a series of 100-day licences from Coimisiún na Meán — its third such licence was granted in June 2024. Its schedule is weekend-led, with volunteer presenters on air from 9am to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays plus some weekday shows, and streaming online and via apps the rest of the time. Programmes such as Trad by the Lake, heard on Sunday afternoons, reflect the town's traditional music scene, and the station is supported partly through Galway County Council's Community Support Scheme.
