LiveIreland, at liveireland.com, is a 24-hour internet station devoted to Irish traditional music, broadcasting to a worldwide audience of trad fans and the Irish diaspora. Its playlists are a roll-call of the tradition — Planxty, The Clancy Brothers, Dervish, Flook and Solas among many others — mixed with live programmes presented by Chicago-based broadcaster Bill Margeson, a tireless champion of Irish music in America. Where most Irish stations treat traditional music as a specialist slot, LiveIreland makes it the whole station: jigs, reels, ballads and songs, around the clock.
