Liffey Sound 96.4 FM is the not-for-profit community station for Lucan in County Dublin, run by the Liffey Sound Communications Co-Operative Society. It began broadcasting in 2006 and was officially opened on 6 October that year; it remains entirely volunteer-run and is a member of CRAOL, the community radio forum. Its schedule is rooted in the locality, with programmes such as the Lucan Community Hour, while Saturday mornings go nostalgic with Blast From The Past, devoted to oldies from the 1950s to the 1970s.
