Liberty Radio ZDK is one of Antigua’s broadcasting pioneers: founded by Ivor Bird, it first came on air on 30 November 1970 as an AM station before moving to its present home at 97.1 FM, with its transmitter on Boggy Peak. Privately owned by Grenville Radio Ltd, it blends news, political talk, interviews and sports with pop, reggae and soca music. Shows such as Good Morning Antigua and Barbuda have made it a fixture of daily listening across the twin-island state for more than five decades.
