KOPB 91.5 FM is the Portland flagship of Oregon Public Broadcasting, the statewide public media network whose roots reach back to 1923 college radio in Corvallis. The FM station signed on in 1962 as KOAP-FM, took its present call letters in 1989, and today carries OPB's mix of NPR news, Oregon reporting and talk from its transmitter in Forest Park.
