KLUX 89.5, branded "Good Company," is Corpus Christi's easy-listening outlier — a non-commercial station owned by the Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi. It signed on March 13, 1985, its call letters playing on lux, Latin for light, and pairs soft adult music from artists like The Carpenters and Michael Bublé with short inspirational messages. The formula has made it a Coastal Bend fixture, and its HD2 channel carries Relevant Radio for Catholic talk listeners.
