Kiwi Folk Radio is an online station devoted to folk music with a New Zealand heart. Its playlists draw on Kiwi folk, acoustic and roots artists alongside traditional and contemporary folk from Britain, Ireland and North America — the traditions that shaped New Zealand’s own folk scene. As a small web-only service with little published history, it defines itself by repertoire rather than personalities: storytelling songs, close harmonies and acoustic instruments for listeners who find folk under-served by mainstream commercial radio.
