Kfm is County Kildare's local station, broadcasting on 97.6 and 97.3 FM from its Broadcast Centre in Naas. It took to the air on 31 January 2004 after winning the county's ten-year franchise, replacing the old Carlow-Kildare service CKR FM. The schedule blends music with a strong local newsroom, live sport — especially horse racing and GAA — and talk, led each weekday by the Kildare Today programme. Independently owned, Kfm remains proudly local, serving towns from Celbridge and Leixlip to Athy and Newbridge.
