Jive Radio is proudly 'schizoclectic.' Broadcasting as KJIV 96.5 FM in Madras and Redmond, Oregon, with roots in Reno, Nevada, the nonprofit, low-power community station was founded by Jeff Cotton in the freeform lineage of the legendary KFAT and KSAN. Its DJs roam across Americana, blues, jazz, reggae, western swing, ska, zydeco and bluegrass, choosing deep cuts over megahits and treating the playlist as a form of mischief.
