Broadcasting on frequencies between 93.9 and 97.1 FM, Jacaranda FM serves Gauteng and three neighbouring provinces with a bilingual English-Afrikaans mix of music and talk. The station was privatised in 1997 after eleven years as an SABC regional service and is today owned by Kagiso Media. Its studios, once in Pretoria, now sit in Midrand, while a regional split service broadcasts from Mbombela for Mpumalanga listeners.
