ICRT, International Community Radio Taipei, is Taiwan's only English-language radio station. It went on air on 16 April 1979, reorganised from the former Armed Forces Network Taiwan after the United States ended diplomatic relations with the Republic of China. Branded FM100, it broadcasts on 100.7 in Taipei and Kaohsiung, 100.1 in Taichung and 100.8 in Chiayi. Run by the Taipei International Community Cultural Foundation, it mixes Western pop music with hourly news, weather and traffic reports for Taiwan's international community.
