HPR2 is the second channel of Heartland Public Radio, a listener-supported, commercial-free service devoted to classic country. Where its sister channel HPR1 covers the 1940s through the early 1970s, HPR2 lives in country's hit-making decades from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s — George Strait, Reba McEntire, Alabama, Randy Travis and the neo-traditional era — playing twenty-four hours a day with no advertising, funded by the listeners who keep it on the air.
