Broadcasting from Letterkenny since 15 May 1990, Highland Radio is the local station for County Donegal and one of Ireland's most successful local broadcasters, regularly claiming the highest market share of any local station in the country. Its mix of country and contemporary music, local news and talk serves the whole north-west. The Shaun Doherty Show, its mid-morning talk programme, is a Donegal institution, tackling everything from farming and fishing to national politics, and the station is a lifeline for news, sport and community information across the county.
