Heavy Metal History treats metal as a story worth telling in chronological riffs. The stream marches from the genre's late-1960s and seventies pioneers through the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, thrash's eighties explosion and beyond, mixing landmark albums with deep cuts. It is less a shuffle button than a guided tour — decades of distortion arranged so you can hear how the sound evolved.
