A second helping of SomaFM's most imitated recipe, Groove Salad 2 extends the ambient beat format that made the original Groove Salad the network's second-ever channel. SomaFM has streamed from San Francisco since 2000, founded by Rusty Hodge and kept commercial-free by listener support. Where the flagship Groove Salad defined the sound — chilled downtempo beats and grooves floating over ambient textures — this companion stream serves the same late-night, low-gravity mood in a parallel rotation, so regulars can switch over without the spell breaking.
