Gold Sport is NZME's AM sports and classic-hits hybrid, heard on AM and low-power FM frequencies across New Zealand. It grew out of Gold, launched on 1 July 2020 on the frequencies vacated by Radio Sport, and was renamed Gold Sport on 27 June 2022 to reflect its content: live commentary of Super Rugby, All Blacks tests and ANZ Premiership netball, plus rural flagship The Country with Jamie Mackay and The Country Sport Breakfast with Brian Kelly. Outside the talk and sport, the station simulcasts Gold's classic hits from the late 1960s to the 1990s.
