Chillsville is George FM's downtempo digital channel, streaming on rova. Where the main George FM service — MediaWorks' national dance network, on air in Auckland on 96.6 FM — chases the club, Chillsville takes the morning after: downbeat electronica, chilled house, soul, funk and laid-back grooves at a gentler tempo. George FM started life in 1998 as a volunteer low-power station in Grey Lynn and joined MediaWorks in 2009; Chillsville shows the brand's other face, a smooth, presenter-free soundtrack for workdays, beaches and slow Sundays.
