Freedom FM lives up to its slogan, 'Reliving the 90s & 00s'. The station first appeared as a Dublin pirate in 1995, broadcasting from a garden shed in Templeogue, and was relaunched online in August 2020 by some of its original DJs. Now part of Emerald Media Group, it plays pop, dance, R&B and indie from the two decades around the clock, and each autumn returns to FM on temporary licences in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick.
