Galway's student voice since 28 September 1995, Flirt FM 101.3 is the licensed campus station of the University of Galway. Run largely by student volunteers, it broadcasts an eclectic mix of alternative music, specialist shows, talk and student news across Galway city. As a member of CRAOL, the Community Radio Forum of Ireland, it doubles as a training ground for new broadcasters, giving students hands-on experience in presenting and production. Its anything-goes schedule — from indie and electronic music to comedy and current affairs — makes it a fixture of student life in the west.
