London's Flex FM began in the early 1990s as a pirate station and went fully legal on 1 July 2018, winning a community radio licence for south-west London. Broadcasting on 101.4 FM, it champions homegrown British dance music — UK garage, drum and bass, dubstep, grime and house — with DJs drawn from the capital's club culture. The station also runs training in DJing and production for young people in its community.
