EKR Retro Rock is a channel of East Kent Radio, the Kent-based rock station whose origins go back to 1994, when East Kent Radio Limited was formed to bid for the east Kent licence; it first broadcast under a temporary FM licence in December 1995 and later relaunched online. True to its slogan, 'the finest rock songs from the heart of Kent', the Retro Rock stream plays classic rock back to back, within a station family that also champions Kent and unsigned bands.
