DBS Radio is the national station of Dominica, run by the government-owned Dominica Broadcasting Corporation from Victoria Street in Roseau. It began in November 1971 as Radio Dominica, taking over island broadcasting from the Grenada-based Windward Islands Broadcasting Service, and today its main 88.1 FM signal, backed by repeater frequencies around the island, is picked up across the Eastern Caribbean. Branding itself «The Nation's Station», DBS mixes news, talk and music in English and Kwéyòl, with programmes over the years including Experience Kwéyòl.
