Cool Blue Taupo is an independent, non-profit internet station from Taupō playing jazz and blues, with touches of R&B, rock and roll and folk. It has an unusual family tree: it sprang up online weeks after Auckland's Cool Blue 96.1 became Flava in 2004, carrying the name and spirit south to the lakeside town. Run as a labour of love rather than a business, its stream serves mellow grooves to local listeners and jazz and blues fans worldwide.
