Coast is NZME's feel-good classic hits network, playing the songs of the 1970s and 80s with a sprinkling of the 60s and 90s: think Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, ABBA and Queen. It began as a local station in Hawke's Bay before NZME rolled the brand out nationwide, and it now targets listeners aged forty-plus who grew up with these records. Friendly presenters, local breakfast content in many markets and an upbeat, unhurried style make Coast a workday and weekend staple.
