Glasgow's flagship hit music station, Clyde 1 broadcasts on 102.5 FM across Glasgow and the West of Scotland as part of Bauer's Hits Radio network. The station began life as Radio Clyde on 31 December 1973, Scotland's first commercial station outside... and it remains fiercely local: George Bowie's Bowie at Breakfast is a Glasgow institution, GBX anthems included, backed by local news, travel and Clyde 1's long-running Cash Register competition.
