Classic FM is the UK's most popular classical music station and, when it launched on 7 September 1992, it became Britain's first national commercial radio station. Owned by Global and heard on 100–102 MHz FM, it mixes accessible classics with programmes such as the Full Works Concert and Smooth Classics, and its annual Hall of Fame is the world's biggest classical music chart, voted for by listeners.
