Country 105 has been Calgary's country station since July 9, 1982, when CKRY-FM signed on at 105.1 with 100,000 watts. Owned by Corus Entertainment, it has stuck with country from day one, added a Banff rebroadcaster on 93.3, and in December 2015 became the first station in Alberta to broadcast in HD Radio.
