Christmas FM is Ireland's seasonal charity station, 'switching Christmas on' every year since 2008. Under a temporary licence it broadcasts on FM — including 105.2 in Dublin — from late November until just after Christmas, staffed largely by volunteers playing non-stop festive music. All donations go to its charity appeal; through initiatives such as The Magic of Christmas, supporting Barnardos, Barretstown and Make-A-Wish Ireland, the station has raised more than €3.5 million since its launch.
