Channel X is MediaWorks' throwback music station, launched at midday on 8 May 2023 on the frequencies vacated by the short-lived Today FM. Heard in sixteen markets and on rova, it plays uninterrupted anthems from the 1990s through the 2010s, the music Generation X grew up with and younger listeners are rediscovering. Deliberately, there are no DJs and no chat: just occasional one-liners and station IDs between songs, starting from its very first track, The Killers' When You Were Young.
