103.9 Max FM is Moncton's classic hits station, broadcasting as CFQM-FM. Owned by Maritime Broadcasting System, it first went on air March 1, 1977 and took its current form on July 31, 2009, when Magic 104 gave way to Max FM; on weekends it carries vintage American Top 40 countdowns with Casey Kasem — the 1970s on Sundays and the 1980s on Saturdays.
