Broadcasting as CFIQ at 640 AM, this is Corus Entertainment's Toronto talk station, long known as Global News Radio 640 and today branded simply 640 Toronto. The frequency's history reaches back to July 1, 1957, when it signed on as CJRH in Richmond Hill, and it settled at 640 in 1988. Its weekday lineup of Toronto-focused talk — including Greg Brady's morning show Toronto Today and the John Oakley Show — is built around city politics, traffic and the fed-up taxpayer.
