Centreforce Radio began as a pirate on 88.3 FM on 8 May 1989, broadcasting from east London during the acid house explosion. It became known as the first seven-day rave station, promoting the big M25 raves such as Sunrise and Energy, with DJs including Randall and Kenny Ken. Its original run ended around 1990, but the brand returned legally on London DAB on 14 July 2018, still playing house and dance classics from its Waltham Abbey base.
