Few station names carry their pirate frequency with pride, but Centreforce 883 does: it first broadcast on 88.3 FM from East London on 8 May 1989, becoming the first seven-day rave station of the acid house Second Summer of Love. After decades of legend, it returned legally on London DAB in July 2018, based in Waltham Abbey. Today its DJs play house, old skool and rave anthems to London and the North West — the spirit of '89, now fully licensed.
