CBC North’s Iqaluit station, CFFB, is the regional production centre for CBC Radio One in Nunavut, heard at 1230 AM and on 91.1 FM. It first opened in 1961, when the community was still called Frobisher Bay, and today produces an extensive schedule of local programming in Inuktitut and English — including the morning show Qulliq and the midday program Nipivut — heard across three Arctic time zones.
