Capital XTRA is Global's home for urban music. It relaunched on 7 October 2013 from Choice FM, the London station that in 1990 became Britain's first licensed Black music broadcaster. Its playlist covers hip hop, grime, Afrobeats, UK garage, dancehall and R&B, with Capital XTRA Breakfast leading the weekday schedule and specialist shows across the weekend.
