Global's home of hip-hop, R&B, grime, afrobeats and dancehall, Capital XTRA broadcasts on 96.9 and 107.1 FM in London and nationally on DAB. It began life in 1990 as Choice FM, Britain's first licensed 24-hour black music station, broadcasting from Brixton, and was rebranded under the Capital banner on 7 October 2013. A sister to Capital, it remains rooted in the UK's urban music scene.
