Capital FM 91.3 is Uganda's flagship English-language station, broadcasting from Kampala since 31 December 1993, when Patrick Quarcoo and William Pike launched it in the first wave of private FM radio. Its contemporary hit format is built on a 'more music, less talk' promise, punctuated by news and the Saturday-morning Capital Gang talk show. Relay frequencies carry it to Mbale (90.9), Mbarara (88.7), Fort Portal (89.4), Gulu (96.9) and Arua (92.7), and in 2026 the Capital Radio group was acquired by Kin Kariisa's Next Media.
